Mount Pulag is the third-highest mountain in the Philippines, located in the northern part of Luzon Island and known as the “Playground of the Gods. It is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts due to its stunning views, diverse flora and fauna, and unique ecosystem.
1. Elevation: Mount Pulag stands at an elevation of 2,922 meters (9,587 feet) above sea level. Its peak is often covered in grass and dwarf bamboo plants, giving it a unique appearance.
2. Biodiversity: The mountain is home to a diverse range of plant and animal species, including rare and endemic species. Mount Pulag is known for its mossy forests, pine forests, and grasslands.
3. Climate: The climate on Mount Pulag is typically cool and temperate, with temperatures dropping significantly at higher elevations. It is important for hikers to be prepared for cold weather, especially during the early morning and evening.
4. Trekking: Trekking to the summit of Mount Pulag is a popular activity for hikers. - Spend the day exploring the surrounding summit area of Mount Pulag.
- Descend and stay for the night in homestay.

- Travel from Mount Pulag to Sagada, taking in the scenic views along the way.
- Check into homestay accommodation in Sagada and explore the town in the evening.
- Visit the Sumaguing Cave and explore its impressive rock formations.
- Explore the Hanging Coffins and learn about the local burial traditions.
