Mount Apo is the highest mountain in the Philippines, standing at an elevation of 2,954 meters (9,692 feet) above sea level known as the Grand Father of Mountains. Located in the island of Mindanao, specifically between the provinces of Davao del Sur and North Cotabato, Mount Apo is a stratovolcano and is considered a dormant volcano.
